Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 Oct 2026. This policy applies to the “KreativWeiche” website. The German version is the legally binding one.

2. In short

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts or scripts from other servers. The pixel room runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to me.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open it, Cloudflare stores server log files for technical reasons (IP address, time, page requested, browser details). This serves the secure and stable delivery of the site. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and EU standard contractual clauses apply in addition (Chapter V GDPR).

Cloudflare decides how long it keeps these logs; I do not analyse them and use no visitor statistics. The connection to this site is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).

For the card about my 3D models, the server at Cloudflare fetches the public numbers of my MakerWorld profile from Bambu Lab (downloads, prints, likes and similar). The server makes this request, not your browser; none of your data is sent to Bambu Lab.

4. Storage in your browser

The site remembers your settings in your browser's local storage (localStorage): language, day or night, sound and music on or off, and whether you chose the view without the game. While the tab is open, it also remembers (in sessionStorage) where you stand in the room, so you are back in the same spot after visiting the legal notice or this privacy policy. This stays on your device and is never sent to me. It is required for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

5. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your email address and your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your request) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is concerned. I delete messages once they are dealt with and no statutory retention periods apply.

My mailbox is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. A data processing agreement with IONOS is in place (Art. 28 GDPR); the data is stored in Germany or the EU.

6. Links to other sites

Links to my projects or profiles lead to other websites. Data is only sent to that provider once you click a link; their privacy policy then applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to me at mail@michaelklomfass.de. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Right to object: where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

8. Changes

If the site changes, for example through new features, I will update this policy.
